September is Finally Here!
Time for our Fantastic Voyage and we CANNOT WAIT!!! Thanks to everyone who participated in our Fabulous Weekend at the end of July in Saginaw. We had a blast!
For the cruisers, please be sure your hotels are booked for our stay in Miami on September 18th and 24th if you are hanging out with us there. Also make sure you have your plane tickets booked, your passports and please be sure to register on Carnival's website to set up your expense account. This has to be done by September 15th. Also, please don't forget to email me your emergency contact info. I will be preparing a list for everyone to keep. We don't anticipate any emergencies, but it's always good to be prepared. Please contact me if you need hotel info or help with anything. I will be posting pictures on our website after the cruise. You can do the same since our site is set up like a blog. But make sure you sign up as a follower. Also, a conference call will be happening soon for all the cruisers to share important information with you. So stay tuned.
On a sad note, please keep our fellow classmate Gary Webb's family in your prayers during this time of bereavement. Gary made his transition on Monday, August 29, 2011. He was an intricate part of our class and always had a kind word for anyone he came in contact with. He attended all of our previous reunions until this year and he will truly be missed. The class will be sending a floral arrangement to the family. May his memory live on forever in the hearts of the class of 1986!

Visitation will be Monday, September 5th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Paradise Funeral Chapel 3100 S. Washington Aveune, Saginaw, MI (989) 754-4826 (Family hour is 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm).
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Wolverine State Baptist Convention Center, 615 S. Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw (near St. Mary's Hospital). Officiating: Pastor Taurus Simpson Interment: Forest Lawn Cemetery

My how time is flying! In just a few short weeks, we will be meeting in Saginaw for our 25th reunion weekend. Meet and Greet Night is Friday, July 29, 2011 from 6:00 pm until at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel 4960 Towne Centre, Saginaw (near the mall). The picnic will be Saturday, July 30th from 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Haithco Park 2121 Schust Road, Saginaw. The cost for reunion weekend is $25. We also have a limited supply of t-shirts for $15. If you would like to send your money in early for reunion weekend and/or t-shirt, please contact Tee-ar at (989) 482-8704, otherwise bring money to the Meet and Greet Night.
CALLING ALL CRUISERS!!!! If you are going on the fantastic voyage with us in September, please note your cruise MUST be paid in full by Monday, July 11, 2011. Please contact Janet at (888) 843-3839 ext. 38115. Be sure to book your flight for September 18th as well. We will be meeting in Miami, Fl on Sunday, September 18, 2011 and staying at the Hyatt Regency Miami (Downtown) 400 SE Second Ave. Phone (305) 679-3093. You will be able to reserve a room as early as next week once the web link is sent to us. The cost per room is $89 + tax. BIG THANKS to Ronovan for negotiating a great price for us. Please note the web link for the rooms is done, but we are having technical difficulties trying to upload it to this web page. May 2011 Update
Hey Class of 86,
It's May already. One month closer to all the fun and exciting reunion activities coming our way. Please plan to come out to the class reunion meeting on Saturday, May 14th at 2:00 pm at the Saginaw Hoyt Library. You can order your FABULOUS reunion t-shirt (we need your order and cash by June 1st); find out about our exciting reunion picnic in Saginaw on Saturday, July 30th; and for those of you planning to go on the Fantastic Voyage with us in September, we will also be providing a detailed check list for obtaining and/or renewing your passport. Don't miss it!

SHS Class of 86 Reunion Activities 2011
Hey all! It is April 2011. Where did the time go? There a lot of exciting events coming up in the next few months. Check them out and please spread the word.
- Next Class Reunion Meeting - Saturday, May 14, 2011 2:00 pm (Saginaw - Hoyt Library)
- T-shirt Orders - Prepaid orders need to be sent by no later than June 1, 2011. Please contact Tee-ar Hines if you would like a shirt. They are beautiful! Prices are: $10 Medium, $12 Large, $14 X Large and add $1 for each X after that up to size 3X.
- Class of 86 Reunion Picnic - Saturday, July 30, 2011 - we need VOLUNTEERS to help with the planning of this great summer-time event. We need people to help plan the menu, games and activities, and funds to purchase food, drinks and paper products. Please contact one of the reunion committee members if you would like to help.
- Fantastic Voyage - September 19-25, 2011 on Carnival -Destiny. We will be cruising to the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Islands. Please book your cruise as soon as possible if you would like to join us. You will also need a valid passport. Please call Janet Delpino at USAirways Cruises (1-888-843-3839 extension 38115).
